My best (press) trip:
I always wanted to go travelling in Eastern Europe and learn about the history and culture of the different countries. This year I finally went to Hungary and travelled from there into Slovakia and on to Krakow in Poland. It was absolutely beautiful, especially the mixture of familiarity and novelty in Hungary. Budapest reminded me of my holidays to Austria when I was a child with its‘ architecture and the traditional coffee shops. However, at the same time I experienced a new lifestyle, a new language and new cuisine. The combination of the familar and the unknown made this holiday very special to me.
My most favourite souvenir:
I love to get lost in beautiful memories and past experiences of travelling, especially during a cold German winter day.
Lessons learnt:
After my graduation I worked in a youth hostel in Barcelona. This was an amazing carefree lifestyle made better by interesting people and experiences. It was lovely to be part of other peoples‘ travelling experience and contribute to the uniqueness of their journeys. I particularly enjoyed conversing with travellers from all over the world and realising the diversity of our own way’s of life. We had people on weekend breaks, backpackers travelling Europe and people that were in search of their Spanish roots.
The destination of my dreams:
I would love to get to know more of Eastern Europe especially after having been to Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. My dream is to drive an old car from the Balkans onto Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Moldavia and finish the journey in Ukraine. There I would sell the car and fly home.
